Building Rules

NO COURTESY NIGHTS ON SAFETY EQUIPMENT!!!

AREA IN THE RULE BOOK WILL BE DETERMINED AT THE TRACK BY THE TECH OFFICIALS AND/OR DRIVER REPS!
1. Wheel well may be
enlarged to clear tires.
2. Doors may be gutted to add door bars. Must have 4 driver side bars & 3 passenger
side bars.
3. Full stock /(stock appearing) STEEL floor pan back past the rear end. Patching or plugging may be
steel or aluminum. NO TUBE CHASSIS ALLOWED.
4. Full stock/(stock appearing) STEEL firewall in stock location. Patching
or plugging may be steel or aluminum (Heater holes etc.)
5. All Body Panels must be represented with a reasonable
stock appearance. May use Aluminum, Steel or Fiberglass.
6. All Spoilers must be lower than 6" in height.
As measured from the deck
lid, and can not exceed the width of the deck.
7. No bars outside the body.
8. No changing of the frame from 0" in front of the "A" frame to back of the rear spring.
9. You must have a shield to COMPLETELY separate the driver form radiator. Radiators must remain in the engine compartment.
10. Gas tank MUST be in a steel container in the trunk/rear of the car. (Fuel cell HIGHLY recommended). Pump gas or
racing fuel only. No alcohol. No oxidizers of any kind.
11. Battery must be in the rear of the car separated from
the driver and COMPLETELY SECURED (recommend battery cover). NO BUNGEE CORDS ALLOWED.
12. Doors must be welded
or bolted shut.
13. CARBURETORS: 4412 Holley 2 barrel or stock factory 2 barrel carbs. only. Bottom of carburetor
can be no larger than 1 11/16" diameter. Must be stock ventura 1 3/8'. May not exceed 500 cfm rating.
14. Stock as produced intake only. NO AFTERMARKET! NO gasket matching, porting or polishing of any kind allowed. A
1" spacer/adapter is also allowed (total of 2" allowed).
15. MOTORS - Stock blocks and stock heads.
No stroked or de-stroked short blocks allowed. NO TURBOS. NO TWIN CAMS. NO MULTI-VALVES PER CYLINDER. NO FUEL INJECTION ALLOWED
on rear wheel drive cars. FRONT WHEEL DRIVE cars with any or all of the following -TWIN CAMS, MULTI-VALVES PER CYLINDER OR
FUEL INJECTION will be allowed to compete provided that all engine and/or computer control components are completely factory
stock FROM AIR CLEANER TO DRAIN PLUG! Stock crankshafts only (Balancing allowed). NO LIGHTENED, KNIFE-EDGED, ETC. CRANKS!
Ford to Ford, Chevy to Chevy and so on. Any stock length steel rod allowed (i.e. Ford 2300cc is 5.2 not 5.7 etc.). Any pulleys
allowed. Motor must be in stock location-- no moving it back.
16. HEAD – Head may be shaved. Any competition
valve job is allowed (No bowl porting or blending of any kind allowed). All angles must be concentric to the valve. Any stock
diameter steel valve is allowed. STOCK means stock head and stem for the head in question. No aftermarket "roller"
lifters or cam followers allowed. No gasket matching, porting or polishing of any kind allowed. No crossing manufacturers
(Ford to Ford, Chevy to Chevy, etc).
17. Distributors must be stock for manufacturer. No aftermarket allowed.
18. CAMSHAFTS – No solid roller cam or lifters. Any hydraulic cam and lifters allowed. Solid cam and lifters
allowed but may not exceed .500" lift and will be measured as follows: Ford - cam lobe - base circle x 1.66 rocker ratio,
Toyota - cam lobe - base circle x 1.55 rocker ratio. NOTE different cam manufacturers use different ratios…it is your
responsibility to do the math according to our track specs. NO TOLERANCE! Any specific car manufacturers not covered will
fall under the discretion of the Tech Officials.
19. TRANSMISSIONS - Factory stock automatic with stock factory
torque converters. NO LOCKUP CONVERTERS ALLOWED! Factory stock standard with all gears functioning including reverse. Clutch
and pressure plate must be factory stock. NO RAM COUPLERS OR MINI CLUTCHES! Any production steel flywheel is allowed. No aftermarket.
No multi disc clutches, 8" (+/- ½") min clutch disc diameter.
20. HEADERS-- any header is allowed.
21. Wheelbase must be factory stock.
22. No 4 wheel drives or engines in the rear.
23. NO
tires taller or wider than G-70 on a 15" rim or IMCA legal tires - Generally that would be 85" in dia. and 9"
tread.
24. Steel wheels only. Max. 8" width. BEAD-LOCKS ALLOWED on right rear only!!
25.
SPRINGS - Spring may be aftermarket. No wedge bolts or "quick" spring adjusters allowed. Rear leaf spring cars are
allowed lowering/lift blocks and multi-hole shackles. No sliders or adjustable lift/lowering blocks allowed.

SHOCKS - Must be stock. Must mount in stock position.
27. MUST HAVE RACING SEAT & SEAT BELTS. Seat & belts
must be securely fastened to roll cage.
28. WEIGHT-- all cars must weigh 2500 lbs. min.
29. All ballast
(weights) must be securely fastened to the frame or roll cage with a minimum of 3/8" bolts. Ballast must be painted white
and include your car number.
30. Drive shaft must be steel, painted white, display your car number and must have
drive shaft loop.
31. Stock front ends and stock swing arms MUST BE FACTORY STOCK ONLY and remain in stock location.
NO SCREW JACKS ALLOWED! 32. Factory stock steering sector or rack and pinion only. STEERING QUICKENER ALLOWED!
33.
BRAKES may have 3 or 4 working brakes-- No adjustable proportioning valves allowed.
34. Fuel pumps may be stock
mechanical or electric. If you have an electric pump you must have an oil pressure shut-off switch.
35. Rear-end
must be stock OEM type rear-end. Locked rear-end are allowed------ 9" ok. NO QUICK-CHANGE REARENDS ALLOWED!
36. It cost $125.00 for an engine or drive train protest.
ANY THING NOT SPECIFICALLY COVERED MUST REMAIN STOCK.
